Established in 2007, my bridal business has been built upon a foundation of diverse weddings; from small and laid back, to majestic and manic- All have been special in their own, unique way.
I have transformed a plethora of Brides, not to mention the amount of wonderful mums and bridesmaids. I have extensive experience in bridal trends, due to my work in the beauty industry as a producer and art director. This includes Blink Brow Bar, IOMA, ASOS and Emmy London, allowing me to build upa strong network of respected hair stylists, photographers, designers and wedding planners which I would happily recommend and can be called upon, should any of my clients need them.
A flawless base is the key to beautiful looking bridal look. I believe that a Bride should look like herself at her most beautiful- It’s one of the happiest days of your life and your bridal make-up should be as special as the memories you’ll make.
I will advise and work with you to create your own individual bridal look, applying products to enhance you, without the finished look being too heavy or thickly applied.
The make-up I create is long-lasting, timeless and looks just as amazing in real-life as it does in photographs- No filters needed! I work with a multitude of mediums, applying fine layers to create a long-lasting, flawless base that acts as the perfect foundation to the rest of your beauty look.
I also believe that your wedding day isn’t a time to try radically different beauty look from your own natural style, but it does need to be special. You don’t wear a wedding dress everyday and professional photography works best with professionally applied make-up.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE TRIAL
My bridal make-up service is tailor made for each person. I like to talk through clients’ requirements, taking into consideration a client’s existing relationship with makeup- Whether you're a novice or a makeup junkie, particular about how you like to wear it, or whether you love the idea of wearing make-up, but haven't had the confidence to push limits or just want to know how it's done.
All elements of the look and feel of your wedding will be taken into consideration, from the time of year, type and time of ceremony (this gives me an idea of daylight which will come into play), how long you'll want to wear it for. We'll discuss colours of flowers and bridesmaids dresses (I even take a look at your invitations if possible as all these things define your desired ‘feel’ of the wedding). Some like it simple and urban, others a rustic and romantic affair. Some just like something Big and Sparkly! I suggest bringing mood boards or picture references where possible- Pinterest as I'm sure you're already aware of, is a great source of inspiration (but please be aware of those images that are heavily computer generation and re-touched)!
I am very flexible with trial appointments, realising that it is not always possible to get time off of work. Trials normally last around 11/2 hours.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT’S NOT QUITE RIGHT?
My aim is to understand all of my clients. However, there are always going to be the occasional ones that remain undecided or somehow unsure of the results. Some?mes this is down to lack of communication (I still get some that turn up without any idea of what they want and bring no references for me to look at). This, itself, is not always a problem, some ladies just say ‘do what you want, I’m easy’ and they love it. Others are just not too confident and it is difficult to ‘get’ someone that you do not know personally. If you have the trial, know that you like my work and me as a MUA but we haven’t quite got there, then I am happy to arrange another appointment, free of charge, to iron out any details. If you love it, but know that you will be more tanned on the day after a spray tan or trip away, then pop back and I’ll do a colour match free of charge. But, if you are unsure of the trial and do not want to move forward with a booking, I will not be offended.
Payment for the trial is obligatory, but confirmation of my services is entirely up to you.
